About This Elegant Life

Hey there, Beauty—welcome to This Elegant Life!

This Elegant Life is a blog for women like you and I. Those of us that aren’t perfect, who pick at our flaws, who feel they’re too busy with everyday life to take that (much needed!) time for themselves.

Many of you may be moms or medical moms, some of you are not. Some of you like to dress up, some of you don’t. Some of you may have a taste for the finer things, while some of you prefer to keep it practical.

We all come from different walks of life—we are unique in our own unique ways. We all have our “things” that define us and make us who we are.

About Me

My name is Chelsea Denham. I am a wife to the most amazing, supportive, and sexiest man alive, Jacob, and mom to the sweetest (and strongest) little boy’s, Jace and Emerson. I have a love for clothes, makeup, shoes, and home decor.

As someone who’s spent far too much time and energy picking at my own “blemishes”, I have a passion to encourage others. I want to love and build up those who feel they’re not enough, who think they don’t have time, and who compare themselves with others.

“Comparison will either make you feel inferior or superior. Neither honors God.” Graig Groschel

Why I Started This Elegant Life

I’ve always liked to look stylish. Hair, makeup, shoes—I love it all! Since having my first child, I’ve tried to find new ways to look good while not spending a lot of time and money. I have always believed that when you look good, you feel good.

As a medical mom, I sometimes find myself making excuses to not do the things I love. It’s so easy to get caught up in appointments, calling doctors/DME companies,  laundry, grocery shopping, diapers, tantrums—the list goes on. Sound familiar? I can’t be the only one.

My goal for This Elegant Life is to encourage and love on other busy moms especially medical moms. We can get so lost in the life of caretaker, nurse and doctor that we so easily forget about ourselves.

I’m so happy that you’re here! Thank you for taking time out of your day to be here!

“It’s okay- to begin your story today. Those mistakes you’ve made along the way are lessons, not failures. You were meant to get back up and find a way that resonates with you. There is no expiration date to reinventing yourself.” Tiffany Moule
